Class Descriptions

GENTLE HATHA YOGA

A gentler practice suitable for all levels, and ideal for beginners. Classes start and end with breathing practice and relaxation.
We move through a series of yoga poses, with a focus on floor & seated asanas to gradually build strength, flexibility & balance and improve mobility.

HATHA/VINYASA FLOW YOGA

A flowing practice suitable for all levels. Classes start and end with breathing practice and relaxation.
We flow through a series of yoga poses; including supine, seated, standing & balancing postures, with a focus on linking breath with movement. A great way to gradually build strength, flexibility & balance and to quiet & calm the mind.

POWER STRETCH

Strengthen, Stretch & Breathe…

A 75min powerful class to increase strength, fitness & flexibility.

We begin with a 30min power flow, connecting the breath with strong flowing poses to build strength and bring heat and space to the body for more effective stretching. The class will then move through a full body range of deep stretch poses, which are held for longer to target down to the muscle fascia for increased flexibility & improved mobility. The class finishes with more restorative poses & relaxation.

A focus on breathwork allows us to get deeper into the stretches, and allows the muscles & soft tissues to really relax & lengthen, and the mind to unwind & find stillness.

AERIAL / TRAPEZE YOGA

For strength, flexibility, balance & fun!

An ideal entry level class to Aerial Yoga; Aerial Trapeze yoga (or beginner’s sling) offers the addition of separate straps & handles to the aerial hammock, which provides a fun & effective way to gradually build grip strength & confidence.

This class combines inverted poses with flexibility & strengthening work; with a focus on building core strength & stability.

DEEP STRETCH

A 60min class to enhance mobility & increase flexibility.

The class starts with a strengthening yoga flow to establish breathing and to warm & open up the body for effective stretching. This is followed by a range of full body deep stretch poses, which are held for longer to help release tight muscles & target right down to the muscle fascia to give quick & effective mobility gains.

A focus on breathwork allows us to get deeper into the stretches, for the muscles to really relax & lengthen, and for the mind to unwind & find calm.

YIN YOGA & MOBILITY TRAINING

A slower, focused class to increase flexibility & functional mobility, with an emphasis on breathing technique for a meditative focus & relaxation.

We hold specific poses for longer, (around 3-4mins each) to really target the deep connective tissues, muscle fascia & joints, giving highly effective mobility gains. These poses are accessible to by all, as modifications are offered for all levels of mobility.

The emphasis on breathing technique helps to relax & calm the body & focus the mind. The correct breathing technique also helps to greatly enhance flexibility & mobility gains.

Yin Yoga/ Mobility Training is ideal for all levels, including those new to yoga and those specifically looking to increase joint mobility & flexibility. It is also hugely beneficial for more experienced yogis to really enhance their practice.
